Burning your Draíocht
The most ancient of all Celtic gods, Danu, the mother of Irish gods, the Tuatha Dé Danann, or the tribe of the gods. These supernatural beings take their name from Danu, as the name Tuatha Dé Danann translates to ‘the peoples of the goddess Danu’. A goddess of sovereignty and power, Danu possesses many creative and crafty talents, passing down her wisdom to all of those in her clan. She represents fertility, abundance, good fortune, wisdom, and the earth.
One of Pagan Ireland's most famous goddesses, Morrígan was known as the goddess of war, fate, and witchcraft. Also called ‘Morrigu’, the ‘Queen of Demons’, or the ‘Phantom Queen’, Morrígan foretells doom or victory in battle. According to legend, Morrígan appears as a single entity, usually as a crow over wars, her appearance either terrifying or inspiring other warriors, leading them to their eventual fate in battle.
